Fabric Challenge Unveiled
This past Christmas I bought 3 yards of a novelty fabric, I gave a yard each to two of my friends with their Christmas present and I kept a yard for myself. I issued a fabric challenge using up the whole yard and only using 3 other fabrics. Otherwise it was open field as what to make. Of course all three of us made quilts and all three were completely different and if Blogger would allow me to load the pictures you could all see the end results but alas I have tried 3 times to post the pics and can't so maybe at some later date if Blogger allows I will be able to post them. Other news DD is going to Florida tomorrow with her best friend, this will be her first real trip (flying) without "de Momma" this is good I guess, it means she is now an adult and isn't that what we want our children to do grow up to be responsible adults? Still, I am worried here in Bingaland.

Friday Off
Yep, I had today off from work, yearly eye exams for me and the DD, lunch with two good friends, some fabric shopping and some general running around getting things done. I am sleepy now, I have quilting tomorrow and need to pack up for it but I don't have an ounce of energy to do it. Maybe a turkey sandwich and a cup of tea will energize me, doubt it, LOL nothing energizes me...the mood is low key here in Bingaland.

Civic Duty
I went right after work to vote in the Primary for the candidate I want to run for President. I don't ever recall voting in a Primary before but this year I felt it was very important, that my candidate needed every vote. It was pouring rain and I didn't have my umbrella but I trudged on anyway, got soaked and voted. I feel good that I did, and I was dry in no time, here in Bingland.

When Favorite Blogs Die
Way back before I knew what a blog was I happened upon Beatknits a site about knitting. I loved the way the blogger posted tons of pictures of her knitting projects but mostly I loved the pictures and the day to day happenings of her life with her children. In the beginning she was a prolific blogger, every day she posted and every day I read. This went on for about 2 years then she started to post less and less as the children grew older and became more involved with outside activities, then she hardly posted at all and then the fateful day she posted and said farewell and closed the blog forever. I felt like someone had died, I still do. Now another favorite Good Yarns has gone on haitius, she says she will be back in the summer but I am sad none the less. It's amazing how attached you can become to people you have never met and how you look forward to reading what they have to say about their lives and their projects and then they are gone. It's a sad thing here in Bingaland. :(

In the beginning
It's amazing how much I love to read blogs about crafting, such as quilting, knitting and that sort. However it is so hard to write ones own blog and be interesting enough that others may want to frequent it on a daily basis, such as I do with 6 or 7 favorites. This will be a challenge for sure, here in Bingaland.
